National Library of Virtual Manipulatives
This is a wonderful math manipulatives website which contains manipulatives which can be used to facilitate learning in many different math topics. This site could be used to facilitate learning by having the students use the applets to experiment with topics and concepts that they are introduced to in the classroom.

Teach-nology.com
This site has many different links including lesson plans on a variety of math subjects. It also has links to other good math sites which can be used with students. This site is a great resource for teachers in creating and following through on lessons.

Lessonplanspage.com
This site contains many lesson plans for any math teacher. It has them grouped into the following age groups: Grades PreK-1, Grades 2-3, Grades 4-5, Grades 6-7, Junior High/High School, and Multiple/Other. This site could be used by teachers as a resource for ideas in creating lesson plans. It includes lesson plan ideas on making connections between math and other subjects, such as art, science, music, language arts, P.E. etc.

A Maths Dictionary For Kids
This site is a great library of math terms related to arithmetic, algebra, and geometry. It has them listed in groups according to the first letter in the term. For each term the site has a definition, an example and then a section for other related notes. The related notes can contain anything from other terms used for the same concept, other ways in which the term is used or interactive aspects to better facilitate learning the term. One way a math teacher could use this site is to have the students go to it after learning new vocabulary and see what the site has for that term.

RUReady.net
Although this site requires you to register in order to login, the registration process is free. This is a website designed to help prepare students and test students’ readiness for college math classes. It includes practice as well as testing to check if students have the necessary prior knowledge needed to succeed in given college math course. A teacher could use it as a secondary resource to help students understand what they need to know in order to succeed in college.

Discovery Education.com
This site contains lesson plans which can be used to help teachers gain ideas to use in their own lesson plans. There is also a link to make math puzzles (i.e. math squares, number blocks, cryptograms, etc.). These can be used to help reinforce basic arithmetic skills for students who like puzzles. The site also includes a link to webmath.com which is a site that generates math help for specific math questions and problems, including explanations. Webmath.com can help serve as a secondary help for students. The concern would be that students could overuse the site and not learn the mathematics as well.
